Colorado! More

Yesterday we cycled up the highest paved highway in North America! We cycled over 6,000 ft to reach the summit of Mt. Evans at about 14,240 ft. The weather was pleasant as we ascended however ran into a thunder/hail/rain storm as we descended which definitely made things interesting!

Purpose of the Ride

The goal of the ride is to raise $5000 for a research or creative expression grant for a CWU College of Arts and Humanities student whose work will be required to be in some way connected to the City of Ellensburg. The grant will be given in May 2012 and be completed by May 2013. This project is a collaboration between the College of Arts and Humanities of Central Washington University, the City of Ellensburg, and the Ellensburg Downtown Association with the overall objective of adding value to our downtown.
