Leavenworth Ride

On Saturday I rode from Ellensburg to Leavenworth and back because I wanted to simulate the amount of climbing and length of the average ride during the Washington tour. Here are some of the photos:

For those who haven't done it, the Old Blewett Highway off of US 97 is a scenic, challenging climb

Purpose of the Ride

The goal of the ride is to raise $5000 for a research or creative expression grant for a CWU College of Arts and Humanities student whose work will be required to be in some way connected to the City of Ellensburg. The grant will be given in May 2012 and be completed by May 2013. This project is a collaboration between the College of Arts and Humanities of Central Washington University, the City of Ellensburg, and the Ellensburg Downtown Association with the overall objective of adding value to our downtown.
